Ya-Fe Opens its Doors Despite COVID-19

The most popular fair  in Cameroon, Ya-Fe is now ready to welcome visitors this Friday at the  lower part of the Yaounde convention center, under the theme “Ya-Fe 2020 we strike together”.

Ya-Fe 2020 opens its doors as from today December 18, 2020 till January 3, 2021. This 15th Edition of Ya-Fe, stands in the view to revive the economy of Cameroon following the negative impacts caused  by the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the year 2020.

To this  effect, many companies and economic operators will have the opportunity to promote, exhibit their products and services to visitors, and be able to make good deals depending on the size of their wallet.

This year,  organizers intend to focus on cultural events. Apart from commercial activities , there will equally be dancing competitions, and even a song contest called: “Ya-Fe Music challenge”. Next to that, there is the return of Ya-Fe sport experience, marked by the organization of the international Beach Volleyball tournament, not to mention the usual attractions such as the rides.

But due to the current context, marked by the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic,  emphasis will inevitably be placed on strict compliance with barrier measures. This is also the reason why  Ya-Fe   will take place in an open air.

However, all visitors are  required to wear a mask. Besides  there will be water points in several sites of the fair for hand washing.

It is important to mention that, Ya-Fe, meaning Yaounde in Feast is a fair organised during end of year celebrations since 2005 by the Inter-progress Foundation in Cameroon's capital city, Yaounde.
