Cameroon: Seidou Mbombo Njoya  Suspended over  Violations of FECAFOOT Laws

 Cameroon Federation of Football, FECAFOOT's provisional executive Committee headed by Albert Mbida have suspended FECAFOOT boss, Seidou Mbomo Njoya and several football officials for serious and repeated law violations.

The information was contained in a press released issued by Senator Albert Mbida on February 16, after a meeting summoned at the FECAFOOT headquarters in Yaounde.

In a the press release, Albert Mbida specified that, “ for violating repeated  FECAFOOT statues (articles 3 and 78) and those of FIFA (articles 14 and 59), in particular the provisions relating to the prohibition of referral to ordinary courts and those relating to  the obligation to respect the decisions of the CAS ”, reads part of the release.

Seidou Mbombo Njoya have been suspended together with his collaborators namely, Aboubakar Alim Konate , Joshua Osih, Kadji Gilbert, Banlock Benjalin Didier with 11 others from all related football activities.

It is worth noting that, The Court of Arbitration for Sports ,CAS, had earlier suspended  Seidou's administration at the helm of FECAFOOT on the grounds that the entire electoral process brought the executive into office did not respect the law.

However, the meeting chaired by Seidou Mbombo Njoya, Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 at FECAFOOT headquarters in Yaounde , was preceded over by twenty-nine club presidents out of thirty-five who agreed to ensure the smooth resumption of the local football championships after over ten months of absence.
